I am humbled and honored to announce that my poem "Gatlinburg Strong" was featured/published in The Mountain Press (Sevierville, TN).

"I wanted to reach out to all of those affected by the wildfires in Gatlinburg. A poem that I wrote is dedicated to all of the survivors, lives lost and for all of the responders and everyone affected by this tragedy. I hope this will shed some light and love to all."

"Gatlinburg Strong"

Humble ourselves and kneel at the mountains
looking up and thanking God in heaven
saving thousands and bringing peace and comfort to the suffering

Give them light
Give them hope
Give them love
and blessings too

People coming together to help one another
with love and comfort we help each other
prayers received from state to state

Blessed are the firefighters and responders who saved the people
against the depths of the fiery darkness

Lift them up with strength
hands together with one another
stand tall and Gatlinburg strong,
magic of the mountains return with light
just like Dolly Parton's country song.
