"Great Minds"

30X30 Acrylic/Mixed Media

This painting was created from a vision within my dreams. It is rendered in acrylics, gels, and pumice stone with edge. The brushstrokes in the background defines the motion of the mind twisting and turning, while the color blocks symbolize energy and emotion.

"Gatlinburg Strong"

Humble ourselves and kneel at the mountains
looking up and thanking God in heaven
saving thousands and bringing peace and comfort to the suffering

Give them light
Give them hope
Give them love
and blessings too

People coming together to help one another
with love and comfort we help each other
prayers received from state to state

Blessed are the firefighters and responders who saved the people
against the depths of the fiery darkness

Lift them up with strength
hands together with one another
stand tall and Gatlinburg strong,
magic of the mountains return with light
just like Dolly Parton's country song.

ART IN THE NEWS!!

My painting "Movement 1" was published in the upcoming issue of the Birmingham Arts Journal
(Volume 13-Issue #2).

This 30X40 acrylic painting was created as a vision of expression and musical interpretation while listening to: Mozart Symphony-No.41-C Major KV 551 <<Jupiter>> "Allegro Vivace".

This vision is vividly expressed on canvas and in No.1 of the Movement Collection.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Quote of the Day:

Those who pursue the way of faith and absolute abandonment have neither relish nor liberty for any other path; all else constrains them.

~Madame Guyon

Quote of the Day

The essay of the heart is transported from emotion to emotion, there are no limits or escape of my mind. My visions are of great detail, and the music of my heart is of each chord progression.
My heart is tired and restless pondering in thought, and my soul is of kind nature. Nourish me down back to earth, I am a writer.

Writing Prompt for the viewers:

What are your thoughts. Do you have a restless mind? Are you an over thinker?

Does music help you write?

Do you dream? and if so, do you remember them? Vivid or Lucid dreams?

What are you thinking now?

Words from the Writer:

We tend to let our minds become our focus of keeping us grounded, seeing life and things differently, which is why writers and artists become a vision for the world, a backbone for the economy during a rise and decline. Shaping our future one day at a time. So let your heart be known, and not made of stone.
